I didn't have a prom, did you?

Back then, in what now feels like, 'the old days', Prom was very much an American tradition shown on every box office movie. Big gowns, flower corsages, the boy next door taking the girl and the ultimate Prom Queen acolade that every high school girl wanted but the most popular girl won; Every.Single.Time

And then it hit the UK.. like a bang. Before you knew it, girls were dress shopping, planning hair and talking endlessly about make up, bags and shoes. Everything caught on but the flower corsage which upset me because at the time I was a florist... bloody typical!

How do I know this? Because my daughter had a prom and she and her friends were consumed by it. And now we have social media in full swing with Instagram and Tik Tok, I would imagine it is a million times more talked about (not that I am one to exaggerate).

I have to be honest though, Prom would not have been for me at that age. Dressing up in a ball gown was absolutely not my thing, you would be more likely to see me in a pair of jeans, the latest trainers and a t shirt that I thought was bang en trend at that particular time. And, my son, when it come for his time, was just not at all interested in it.. he would have preferred a day out at Alton Towers with his mates going on and off the big rides all day and having fun.

But, thousands love it and embrace everything about it.. which is great and the reason my Prom collection was born. I actually launched this collection some years ago but since then I have developed it to include a bigger range of dresses and hairstyles to choose from so that you can create a fun resemblance of your daughter on the front of the card, print or prom message book.

I thought that, once again, whilst pictures (largely on phones) are great to capture the moment, and they are, a message book with some scribbled notes from friends and teachers would just add some context to the nostalgia we all crave as we get older whilst the prom print is a fun désign for your teens bedroom and helps her remember her prom fondly.
